Studio cycling, also known as spinning, is a fun, group workout set to motivating and inspirational music. Each class lasts for between 45 minutes and an hour, working on improving your aerobic capacity and anaerobic strength, whilst burning up to 900 calories in one class!
Spinning offers a range of choreographed classes to include slow climbs, mountain peaks, fat burning classes, speed classes and sprinting. Spinning has a range of benefits including increasing cardiovascular fitness, burning fat, and toning and shaping legs, hips and bum. Above all it is great fun!
Spinning is a cardiovascular training programme that can be enjoyed by all. Because you are in control of your level of resistance, using the dial on the front of the bike, anyone from beginners to mountain bike enthusiasts can enjoy and benefit from studio cycle.
Physically fit participants will be able to enjoy an effective cross training workout. For the moderately fit it provides a very athletic cardiovascular workout. For beginners, spin cycle can offer a less intimidating introduction to music driven group exercise with no co-ordination or sense of balance required! It is also especially good for those with a history of high impact injuries or related conditions because of the non-weight bearing nature of the workout.
