Formerly seen as only for more senior participants, clients of all ages and abilities are now discovering the benefits of aqua aerobics:
Water aerobics incorporates both strength and conditioning, cardio and core workouts. With the use of flotation devices such as woggles/noodles and hand weights/buoys, you can work in shallow or deep water without the need for a flotation belt and with your feet off of the pool floor. Working suspended in water this way will really challenge your core muscles!
As well as providing a flotation aid, aqua equipment also provides added resistance to your workout as you move through the water, giving upper and lower body conditioning. Water running, tuck jumps, jacks, spotted dogs and rocking horses, to name a few, are aqua moves that will get that heart rate pumping, we run a range of Aqua Aerobics based classes at various locations throughout Surrey.
Shallow Water workouts combine core exercises, aerobics and conditioning based exercises, and can incorporate Deep Water progressions for those who are confident to work in the deeper water.
Aqua Zumba combines Zumba moves that have been adapted for water workouts, so they are slower, but just as fun, choreographed to the great Zumba music you will find in land classes, to maintain that Zumba party vibe!
